The Security Service of Ukraine detained two members of the FSB intelligence network, which was revealed in August in the Dnepropetrovsk region. Earlier, six members of the group that corrected Russian missile and drone attacks against military and critical facilities in the region were jailed.
Now the SBU has managed to identify two more agents. This is a 56-year-old security manager at a local company and a 48-year-old unemployed woman from the suburbs of Dnieper. They acted independently of each other, but were coordinated by a joint Russian curator.
The agents transmitted coordinates of attacks on the positions of the defense forces and Ukrzaliznytsia facilities, which ensured the transportation of military equipment and ammunition to the front. They also tracked the routes of military convoys of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The attackers filmed their targets as they drove around the streets of the regional center and surrounding areas. The received data was transferred to the FSB in the form of geolocations and detailed descriptions of objects.
Both agents were arrested by SBU counterintelligence officers at their home locations. During the house searches, their phones were seized which contained evidence of their criminal activities.
The detainees were declared suspects according to part 2 of art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – high treason committed under martial law. They face life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
