The investigation revealed that the suspect is a 44-year-old local resident who works in public transport. While performing her official duties, she secretly recorded the places and times of stay of the Ukrainian military.
In real time, the woman sent text messages with this information, which she then posted on a Telegram channel used by Russian intelligence services to gather intelligence.
The SBU documented the suspect’s criminal activities and arrested her in her own home. During the search, a mobile phone containing evidence of her subversive activities was seized.
The arrested person was charged with suspicion under part 2 of art. 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (unauthorized dissemination of information on the movement and location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the possibility of identification on the ground).
She is being held without bail and faces up to eight years in prison.
