Star Clippers is a cruise line whose fleet consists of three exceptional sailing ships: Star Clipper, Star Flyer and Royal Clipper..
Star Clippers was founded in 1989 by Mikael Kraft, a Swedish boating entrepreneur who dreamed of reviving the legendary clippers that crossed the oceans in the 19th century during the golden age of sail.
His ambitious bid became a reality in 1991 and 1992 with the delivery of the first two four-masted barquentines: Star Clipper and Star Flyer.
In 2000, the company expanded with a third ship of majestic proportions: it was named Royal Clipper. Measuring 134 meters in length, five masts, 42 sails and a sail area of over 5,000 m2, she is officially recognized by the 2001 Guinness Book of Records as the largest fully rigged cruising sailboat currently in service.
The three ships in the Star Clippers fleet are recreations of iconic clipper ships, offering comfort in a refined and intimate setting while allowing passengers to live an authentic maritime experience.
The Star Flyer and Star Clipper each accommodate 166 passengers, have 83 cabins and a crew of 74, while the Royal Clipper accommodates 227 passengers, 114 cabins and a crew of 106.
At each stop, passengers can choose from a wide range of excursions tailored to their pace and desire for discovery. Thus, many water sports are provided free of charge to customers, such as kayaks, paddleboards, windsurfing and water skiing, all under the supervision of a dedicated team, attentive to the needs of passengers, dynamic and friendly.
