The G7 countries adopted a joint statement on the 1,000th day since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
“We, the leaders of the G7, reaffirm our unwavering support for Ukraine as long as necessary, we stand in solidarity by contributing to the struggle for sovereignty, freedom, independence, territorial integrity and its restoration.”
The G7 notes that despite all difficulties and great suffering, Ukrainians have shown unprecedented resilience and determination in defending their country, culture and people.
“Russia remains the only obstacle to a just and lasting peace. The G7 reaffirms its commitment to impose significant costs on Russia through sanctions, export controls and other effective measures. We stand united with Ukraine,” the G7 noted.
