Today, the Russians attacked energy facilities in the Odessa region. In the direction of Ukrenergo, emergency power cuts were introduced in the region.
According to the head of OVA, in the Odessa region there are interruptions in heat, water and electricity. Hospitals and other critical infrastructure run on generators. Electric transport and some traffic lights also do not work in Odessa.
The mayor of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov, said that an urgent meeting of the Commission for Fuel and Safety and Emergency Situations was held.
“Dear residents of Odessa, you see the situation is very difficult. An unprecedented attack on the infrastructure of Ukraine, in particular on our city… A commission on fuel and safety and emergency situations has met, we are working on issues of providing people with transport, water supply, drinking water,” he said.
The mayor noted that the city is eliminating the consequences of the enemy’s attack. According to him, pump rooms are operational in Odessa, boiler houses are being converted into generators.

Other consequences of the attack
The State Rescue Service reported that in the Odessa region, as a result of shelling, fires occurred in three private houses, and another four houses were partially destroyed.
According to emergency personnel, a teenager was injured.
At the same time, the head of the Odessa OVA reported two victims and a 17-year-old male victim. But he stressed that information about the consequences of the shelling was still being gathered.
“I can report that unfortunately we have some dead. My condolences to their loved ones. There are also wounded,” noted Oleg Kiper at the telethon.
Russian attack on November 17
Today the enemy struck the biggest blow in three months. President Vladimir Zelensky said the Russian Federation fired about 120 missiles and 90 drones. Air defense forces destroyed more than 140 enemy targets.
The occupiers fired at production facilities, including thermal power plants, as well as electricity transmission facilities. Emergency blackouts were imposed across Ukraine.
It is known that there are victims in the Nikolaev, Dnepropetrovsk and Lvov regions. There are victims in Kyiv, Dnieper, Kremenchug and Zaporozhye.
