As the expert noted, the area affected by cluster shells depends on the height at which the rocket explodes. The higher the altitude, the larger the affected area, but the lower the density.
According to him, the cluster submunition used by Ukraine explodes up to 96-97%, while the Russians have an explosion rate of 50 to 50.
“Therefore there is a double danger – the danger from the fact that a large area is closed, and the danger is that they then burst, a dog can run, push and it explodes,” explained Getman.
The expert added that cluster munitions are used where there are no armored fortifications.
Let us remind you that “Caliber” is a sea-launched cruise missile. Russia launches Kalibr missiles over Ukraine from the Black and Azov seas. In the winter of 2022, the occupiers often used these missiles under massive fire.
According to the Air Force, today, November 28, the Russians fired 28 Kalibr cruise missiles into Ukraine from the Black Sea. As President Vladimir Zelensky said, “Calibers” were equipped with cluster guns.
