As the department said, a list of institutions with expert teams was determined to replace MSEC. Now these teams will work in 286 hospitals throughout Ukraine.
New institutions have been selected in such a way that they are as accessible as possible to people and at the same time meet modern quality standards of medical services.
In total, 1,348 expert teams were created which will employ more than 4,300 doctors. This is three times more than the previous MSEC system. These teams are formed according to the following specializations: surgical, traumatological, cardioneurological, psychiatric.
A list of doctors was also determined who will work in the Center for the assessment of the person’s functional state, provide expert support and review decisions on appeal by the patient.
Reform of MSEC
In October this year, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky signed a decree that became the basis for the liquidation of MSEC as part of the reform of the disability assessment system. On November 1, the Cabinet of Ministers passed a bill according to which MSEC will be completely liquidated as of January 1, 2025.
