According to the State Department, Blinken and Lemmy discussed the need to increase security assistance to Ukraine. Especially in light of the fact that Russia turned to North Korea with a request for military supplies to continue the war in Ukraine.
They also discussed the situation in Syria, especially the principles that the United States and the countries of the region should follow during the transition process and the formation of a new government. Blinken reiterated US support for the new Syrian government.
Let us recall that in October it became known that soldiers from North Korea had arrived in Russia. They were sent to the Kursk region, where fighting is going on.

Help from the US and UK
During the full-scale Russian invasion, the US and UK became key allies of Ukraine, providing large-scale defense support.
The US has allocated tens of billions of dollars in military support, which included advanced weapons such as HIMARS, Patriot, Abrams systems, as well as ammunition, drones and other equipment. Washington has also provided economic and humanitarian aid, contributing to Ukraine’s economic sustainability.
The UK has provided significant support to the training of the Ukrainian military, particularly by organizing large-scale training programmes. London also supplied Ukraine with NLAW anti-tank systems, Storm Shadow long-range missiles and anti-aircraft missile systems. In addition to arms, the UK actively supports international sanctions against Russia and provides humanitarian aid to Ukrainian displaced people.
