As the company noted, they received an order to deliver another 20 Marder 1A3 infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine. Its cost is several million euros.
“The deliveries will be financed by Germany,” Rheinmetall clarified.
In total, the German defense organization has already transferred hundreds of Marder infantry fighting vehicles to Ukrainian defenders.
Marder 1A3 accessories
Marder’s infantry fighting vehicles in the 1A3 modification are equipped with an additional laser range finder for efficient and accurate target engagement.
The first 20 units of such equipment were transferred to Ukrainian defenders by the Rheinmetall Group in March 2023. After this, deliveries continued.
Rheinmetall began a major overhaul of the Marder 1A3 in spring 2022 at its own expense. Since then, IFVs have been continuously repaired and delivered for immediate deployment.
It is worth noting that the last deliveries to Ukraine of 20 Marder 1A3 infantry fighting vehicles from Rheinmetall took place at the end of October.
