According to the military, the enemy struck Kiev at 7:00 AM five Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles. The launches were carried out from the Voronezh and Bryansk regions of Russia.
The air defense destroyed all five missiles. However, due to falling debris from downed missiles, destruction and casualties occur.
In addition, the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that overnight the occupiers released 65 Shaheds and other types of drones. The launches were from four regions of Russia – Bryansk, Millerovo, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
In addition, the invaders launched an attack with an Iskander-M ballistic missile from the Rostov region and a Kh-59/69 guided missile from the airspace of the Kursk region.
Air defense forces destroyed 40 drones and another 20 simulator drones were lost locally. The air defense operated in the Kursk, Poltava, Sumy, Kiev, Chernigov, Cherkassy, Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporozhye regions.
Consequences of the Russian attack
As the Air Force notes, as a result of the night strike, private buildings and apartment buildings, medical institutions, warehouses and farms were affected in the Dnepropetrovsk, Sumy, Kiev and Kharkov regions.
Particularly, A large-scale fire broke out in a warehouse in the Kiev region. A train was brought in to remove the consequences.
As a result of the missile attack in Kyiv, debris fell in five areas. One death and nine injuries are known.
