Fabricio Werdum participated in the first mixed martial arts competition in 2002 and defeated Tengiz Tedoradze. In his more than 20-year career, he has 24 wins, nine losses and one draw in his professional record. In addition to his many positive results, Werdum distinguished himself in the sport by winning the UFC heavyweight belt. In June 2015, the Brazilian became the division’s interim champion, facing Cain Velásquez and unifying the titles. His victory over the Mexican idol, in the middle of Mexico City, marked his name in the list of the greatest heavyweight boxers in history.
