The head of the Polish government, Donald Tusk, condemned his Hungarian counterpart Viktor Orban, who in an interview called dictator Vladimir Putin an “honest player” when Russia resorted to massive shelling of Ukraine on Christmas night.
“On Christmas night, Russia launched a massive missile attack on Ukrainian cities. Then, in a Christmas interview, Prime Minister Orban called Putin an honest partner of the Hungarians, and Minister Romanovsky repeated the patiently memorized wishes of that day,” Tusk wrote.
On Tuesday, Orban gave an interview to Mayar Nemzet, in which he called Turkey’s second president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Putin an “honest partner.”
Massive shelling of Ukraine on December 25
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russian Federation (RF) has regularly carried out attacks against Ukraine with a wide range of weapons: artillery, missiles, aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
On the night of December 26, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with Shahed-type Iranian kamikaze drones. In the morning, the drones were “joined” by a massive attack of missiles and ballistic shells. Explosions occurred in several regions of the country. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that during the attack more than 70 missiles and more than 100 drones were fired.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sibiga, commenting on this shelling, emphasized that The attack was Russia’s response to discussions about the so-called “Christmas truce”.
