St. Nicholas Church is a Roman Catholic Church. Built 1899-1909 by the Ukrainian and Polish architect Vladislav Gorodetsky This is the only Neo-Gothic building in Kiev.
In September 2021, the whole world started talking about the sanctuary. A fire broke out in the church. This emergency became one of the main topics in the media. Unlike Notre Dame, to which the Kiev church was often compared at the time, the building (with the exception of the roof) was almost undamaged. But his unique organ was completely burned out. Within days of the fire, Ukrainian companies raised a total of about 25 million hryvnias to restore the church.
