Russian drones continue to fly into Belarus during attacks on Ukraine. It is possible that the Russian Federation may commit a provocation at an oil refinery in Belarus.
According to him, seven Russian drones flew over Belarus on the night of October 18. In September, 30 drone flights were registered.
Kovalenko added that a Shahed strike has also previously been registered near Mozyr, where the oil refinery is located.
“Everything is pointing to the fact that Russia will commit a provocation against Belarus, as a result of which both civilians and the refinery itself may suffer and these are the deliberate actions of the Russians,” he said.
Night drone attack
On the night of October 18, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine. The occupiers released 135 attack drones and unmanned aerial vehicles of unknown type. The air defense operated in the Odessa, Sumy, Cherkassy, Kyiv, Zhitomir, Kirovograd, Chernigov, Poltava, Khmelnytsky, Rivne, Kharkov, Kherson, Volyn and Vinnytsia regions.
Air defense forces destroyed 80 drones, another 44 drones were lost, two flew to Belarus. Starting in the morning, the combat work continued.
In Kyiv at night there were explosions, air defense worked, but no hits recorded.
