It’s been a year since I discovered this Mercadona anti-humidity set and I’ve been a super fan ever since. Living near the sea has many advantages, and humidity accumulated in the house is not one of them. Especially in winter, when clothes and sheets are cold and wet. A. The drama this supermarket product saved me from and that’s why I can’t stop buying it.
I find it in the house cleaning section and the fee is 3.15 eurosBut I am changing the spare part 2 euros Every two months, so it’s not an investment that will ruin me. I assemble the entire set following the instructions on the box and I put it in the bathroomJust like everyone else does to remove moisture. But I went further.
I went straight to the heart of the problem, Closet where I keep sheets and towels. You can’t even imagine the humidity that forms there and leaves a bad smell even on clean laundry. So I made space on a shelf to keep the anti-humidity product separate from the textiles. I prefer not to have my items in contact with it as it produces salt water when activated.
I confirm that it performs its function perfectly and captures moisture like moths in the light. It leaves that citrus aroma, especially in closed areas such as clean clothes closets. It is true that after a few weeks its range decreases noticeably, but I let it act longer because still works, albeit with less power. And it’s still noticeable, I verified.
There are people who ask me if the atmosphere is too dry. I can speak for myself and my beach house and say absolutely no. It absorbs moisture but does not squeeze out water forever, those who say otherwise are exaggerating. In fact, the product label itself says retains 45% of environmental moistureso this is not a problem.
My verdict: buy two
Having owned two I can compare. It eliminates the ambient humidity in the bathroom and it is true that it is noticeable on the tiles or the bathroom mat that does not stay wet when you get out of the shower. However, in a closed and small area such as a closet the difference is much worse and the laundry feels completely dry. In my opinion, this is the best use that can be given to it.
